The bakery and confectionery Remke has almost 20 branches in North Rhine-Westphalia. A 15 m³ buffer storage from Haase has now been put into operation at the production facility. This is a central component of a waste heat recovery system, with the help of which large amounts of energy and thus costs can be saved.
A lot of heat is generated in the various manufacturing processes in bakeries, which unfortunately is often blown into the environment in the truest sense of the word. On the other hand, a lot of energy is required to heat the water that is used for cleaning processes.
In the Remke bakery, the waste heat is now loaded into the hot water tank by two flue gas heat exchangers, each with 50 kW, and a wood chip boiler. It heats the water when e.g. the baking molds, containers, machines and production rooms are to be cleaned. The heat is also used to heat the base load of the production building.
